Murfreesboro Little Theatre collaborates with Out Front Productions to present the latest Middle Tennessee mounting of the noted Moises Kaufman/Tectonic Theatre stage piece, which explores the people and events surrounding the 1998 murder of young homosexual student Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming. The text comprises material gleaned from some 200 interviews over the course of 18 months, offering a cross section of responses, from compassionate to callous. The ensemble cast features a judicious sampling of local community theater talent, including Sherry Sunday, Shane Lowery, Sean Dixon, Bryan Booth and Jessica Sparks. George W. Manus Jr. directs.
Fridays, Saturdays, 7 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Aug. 22. Continues through Aug. 31, 2008
