Come with me, and you'll be, in a world of pure imagination at Andee Rudloff's self-described "Willy Wonka-esque" art show, featuring large-scale mixed-media works celebrating the wondrous joys of desserts—or for you health nuts, the sinister evils of white sugar. (Most wondrous is Rudloff's ability to create this art while simultaneously serving as the Frist Center's educator for outreach and running a gallery in her hometown of Bowling Green, Ky.) Whatever your dietary proclivities, your mouth will water at the site of pies, donuts, cakes and cookies, portrayed in works featuring names like "Picnic on a Gigantic Scale" and—our vote for 2008's best new sexual euphemism—"Creamy, Puffy Love Cake (with a cherry on top)."
