Grace of Isolation: Karen Kang, Jennifer Goss & Jacqulin Rognehaugh

By Joe Nolan

Published on July 23, 2008 at 3:42am

The latest event at Hanging Around once again puts the a-r-t in party, highlighting the work of three female artists as they explore themes of healing and restoration in places of isolation. Rognehaugh's nomadic life—and spiritual journey—are reflected in her meditative drawings, while Goss makes use of multimedia collage in her narrative work. Kang is a stone and wood sculptor whose abstract work reveals wisdom and whimsy alike. She’ll allow inquisitive minds into her process with an in-house sculpture demo on Thursday (noon-7 p.m.).
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: July 25. Continues through Aug. 16, 2008
