Suspect BehaviorSarah KelleyPublished on August 23, 2007That’s not in the lease A landlord showed up to collect rent from a tenant who told her she was planning to move out and buy a house. This apparently infuriated the landlord, who police say slapped the victim across the face and punched her in the nose. When the tenant attempted to escape the beat-down, the suspect grabbed a glass vase and broke it over the woman’s head. As the landlord left the property, she then keyed the victim’s 2003 Jaguar, causing numerous scratches. The defendant, 43, was arrested a short time later and charged with assault and vandalism. Best friends for a bender A male victim called police to report that a female acquaintance had stolen his pickup truck. Upon further questioning, the man admitted he had met the woman a few days earlier and that the two “engaged in a crack binge” until the suspect took the victim’s truck in a breach-of-trust situation, police say. The victim later saw the 36-year-old suspect walking along Trinity Lane and confronted her, at which point she pulled a cutting tool from her back pocket and told him to leave her alone, according to police. The perp still had the blade on her when officers arrested her and charged her with aggravated assault. Do I amuse you? Two women were outside a Citgo station in Goodlettsville when a man pulled up, exited his vehicle and told the ladies to stop laughing at him. The victims reportedly looked at each other, then back at the suspect and said, “We’re not laughing at you.” The perp, 23, warned the pair that if they didn’t stop snickering he would shoot them, at which point he showed them a gun before speeding out of the parking lot, police say. The victims identified the suspect in a photo lineup, and he was later booked for aggravated assault. Baby momma drama Police report that a female suspect “came to the residence of her baby’s daddy…broke out several windows until baby’s daddy and new girlfriend finally answered the door.” The suspect, 18, then grabbed the man by the hair and pulled him out of the house. When the girlfriend tried to break it up, the suspect bit her on the hand, police say. Officers responded and charged the baby’s momma with two counts of assault.
