“The Commerce Department fooled around with this for three years,” Walker says. “All of a sudden, politics stimulates them into saying, ‘Oh, we need a cease-and-desist order.’ I can’t imagine this’ll be an issue in the mayor’s race. There’s been no connection to either Bobby or Mary Clement to Trip Assured’s business or its handling of these complaints. Mr. Johnson is a Democrat and believes in Bob Clement, and I don’t know if there’s any law against that. But if y’all want to just write bullshit, I guess you can.”
