The name—Plumgood Food—isn't so much a boast as a promise from Eric and Katie Satz, owners of Tennessee's first online organic and natural grocery store, which launched earlier this month. Founded and headquartered in Nashville, Plumgood provides residential and office delivery of fresh, high-quality organic and natural fruits, vegetables, meats, chicken, fish, dairy products and other select grocery items. Orders can be placed online or by telephone.

Plumgood also caters to special diets and needs, including low-carb, heart-healthy, diabetic, wheat-free, gluten-free and dairy-free. Customers can have food baskets delivered to elderly parents, home-bound friends and Nashville's Table. Eric Satz sits on the board of the nonprofit, which delivers food to more than 120 agencies serving hungry individuals and families in the area. Any excess food from Plumgood deliveries and inventory will be donated to Nashville's Table.

Interested clients can log on to www.plumgoodfood.com for more information and to sign-up. There's also an online survey; customers who fill it out will get free delivery on their first three orders. After that, the charge is $5.95 per order. The food service business is located at 10 Cannery Row; look for the larger-than-life mural on the side of the building, painted by Michael Cooper of Murals & More. Plumgood is holding a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., with samples of the products they will be carrying.
